IOR Brisbane Fuel Storage Tanks

PROJECT INFORMATION

IPCQ was awarded the scope to paint two new storage tanks for the largest diesel only import facility on the east coast of Queensland.

SCOPE OF WORKS

IPCQ successfully undertook an extensive abrasive blasting and paint application project, applying protective coatings to both the internal and external surfaces of two newly constructed diesel storage tanks.

PROJECT DETAILS:

  • Scope of Work: The project involved meticulous abrasive blasting to prepare the surfaces, followed by the precise application of advanced protective coatings designed to withstand harsh environmental conditions and ensure the longevity and safety of the storage tanks. The internal floors were blasted 24 hours a day with our automated “Faster Blaster” machines. Using dehumidification equipment, we were able to control the environment inside the tank to ensure our strict quality standards were met.
  • Location: These storage tanks are part of a strategically repurposed facility located on the east coast of Queensland. All tank plates, wind girders, nozzles and handrails were pre-blasted and primed in our blast and paint facility in Pinkenba, QLD.

PROJECT ACHIEVMENTS:

  • Safety First: The entire project was executed with an unwavering commitment to safety, adhering to the highest industry standards and protocols to ensure the well-being of all personnel involved.
  • Timely Delivery: IPCQ’s skilled team delivered the project on time, showcasing our ability to meet deadlines without compromising on quality.
  • Significant Impact: The completion of this project has made the facility the largest diesel-only import facility on the east coast of Queensland, significantly enhancing its operational capacity and strategic importance.
