Public Infrastructure

Protecting the places Australians use every day

IPCQ provides specialist corrosion control, protective coating and asset-preservation and remediation services for public infrastructure, sporting venues, tourism destinations, airports, ports and other high-profile community assets.

These environments demand more than technical coating expertise. They require careful planning, flexible scheduling and rigorous controls to protect the public while maintaining venue operations, access and presentation standards.

We provide the following public infrastructure asset-protection solutions:

IPCQ has successfully delivered projects at some of Queensland’s most recognised locations, including:

  • The Gabba
  • Sea World
  • Dreamworld
  • Topgolf
  • Brisbane Airport
  • Port of Brisbane

Our team understands the challenges of completing industrial maintenance within operational, publicly accessible and highly visible environments.

We work closely with asset owners, venue managers, principal contractors and other stakeholders to coordinate activities around events, maintenance windows, peak periods and changing operational priorities.

Our capabilities include:

  • Corrosion remediation
  • Abrasive and mechanical surface preparation
  • Protective coating application
  • Hazardous coating management
  • Structural steel maintenance
  • Work at heights
  • Rope access, scaffolding and EWP access
  • Containment and environmental controls
  • Site-specific rescue and emergency planning
  • Detailed inspection and quality documentation

At The Gabba, IPCQ has delivered multiple structural coating and asset-preservation projects between 2020 and 2026, completing more than $2.4 million of works within a live sporting and entertainment venue.

At Sea World and Dreamworld, our teams have supported the maintenance of rides, attractions and public infrastructure while working within strict shutdown windows and presentation requirements.

At Topgolf, IPCQ developed specialist access and safety systems to complete work on net-support structures reaching heights of up to 55 metres without disrupting venue operations.

Our Brisbane Airport experience includes corrosion remediation of the Runway 19R HIAL structure in an operational airport and marine environment. This involved work over water and tidal zones, strict environmental controls and the application of a C5 corrosion-protection system.

Across every public infrastructure project, our priority is to protect the asset, the public and the reputation of our client.
