PROJECT LOCATION

Olympic Dam, South Australia

SURFACE AREA

Approx. 2700m2

SCOPE OF WORKS

IPCQ undertook abrasive blasting and spray application of protective coatings to the external of two (2) newly constructed acid buffer tanks connecting to the existing operating acid plant.

Given that the tanks were live during the works, effective risk management and the highest degree of operator care was paramount to ensuring the successful delivery of the works.

Scaffold containment was constructed to ensure operations were not disrupted.

CONTAINMENT SYSTEMS

IPCQ installed full containment to the scaffolded areas to ensure that the site's operations were not impacted by blast & paint works.
