In partnership with AMSG (Australian Maritime Systems Group), IPCQ completed coating remediation the heritage-listed lighthouse located near Mt Gambier in South Australia.

Built in 1883 and currently operated by the Australian Maritime Safety Authority, Cape Banks Lighthouse is heritage listed and represents developments in lighthouse technology and design.

SCOPE OF WORKS

IPCQ was engaged to perform remedial coating restoration of the 135 year old Lighthouse which is remotely located on the Southern Coast of South Australia near Mt Gambier. The structure was coated both internally and externally and included multiple substrate types and conditions. Lead-containing-paint removal and surface corrosion treatment were also included in the scope. Meticulous planning and thorough implementation of control measures resulted in successful project delivery with zero-incidents in a remote, environmentally sensitive location.
